After nine years, President Napolitano backs home. He's been the only one, in
the italian history, to be elected for a second time, in a delicate moment for the
country, in an uneasy contest to compose a new government.
He accepted the President role for the second time, tired after the first seven
years of work, remarking the importance to work as a compact crew, in a very
difficult landscape which concerned those days.
The last day of year, he appeared by TV, for the usually President message at
italians.
He informed everybody about his dismissions for advanced age, and two days
ago, on 14 of january, he left, sending the dismission letter to the Parliament.
Nine years in which Napolitano never lose the rudder, despite the noise
around him.
It's been the proof of a big and professional skill, going always straight on his
way, never losing the calm, never walking out of his role. Cold and warm, he's
been able to express his empathy at everybody with no difference at all.
Everybody liked him, left and right party, exept the Grillo's followers, who tried
invain an impeachment action against him.
He's back home, but he's not outside of the games.
He's Senator for the rest of his life, as well all the italian Presidents, and next
challenge will regard the italian electoral law, in which contest he'll express his
point of view. Finally it will emerge again his deep political soul. After the new
President election, of course.
Best wishes at President Napolitano, may be for the most balanced made
work in the italian President's history.
